Some questions I’d like answering.

Hi all,
I was just wondering if there were people on here who could help me with some basic question, perhaps a few which haven’t been asked before (pointless and obscure) Firstly I’m going in as a warfare specialist but I won’t go into that too much because I’m sure there 1000s of threads on that already. So I’ll nist get on with questions;
• Can I take a guitar with me to Raleigh?
• Will I pick what job I do e.g Sonar or Guns
• Can you wear the White sailor Uniform in the Uk for things like weddings (Pointless I know, just curious)

I have never heard of anyone taking a guitar to Raleigh. That being said, you could always be the first.

If you have been issued them, then knock yourself out. You might get in a bit of trouble, but they won't sack you.

Guitar, no. The bish keeps some if you think you'll have time.

White suit..probably not and you'll only be issued with it when your on a ship deploying to warmer climes.

I wouldn't bother, you will have more than enough stuff to carry.

You will be told in Wk 7/8, this is based on the needs of the service. You will be streamed either EW/UW/AWT/AWW.

You can (if that's your thing), you will neek to ask permission to wear uniform at a private event. Also, you wont be able to drink in uniform - it is a bit of a no-no these days. Get caught and you bring the Navy into disrepute. No that that stops most people. Sort of ruins the whole point of going dressed to impress and not get turbo drunk and trying to trap the bridesmaids..

The bish is the chaplain, don't hit him or her though as being caught bashing the bishop is another matter entirely.
