Don't forget the best information comes from the man in the pub who once had a mate who had an uncle who's brother knew someone who nearly went into the navy

I think I've met him

Interesting, so Squaddie has been on the trot for last 2 1/2 years then, why does he now decide he's an objector and not just a deserter, could have slapped his notice in when returning from Afghanistan and never have had to go back, instead he chose to go on the run. Sorry he has lost any small ammount of sympathy he might have got from me at this point.

To reiterate what the other mods have said, try to stay on topic without giving specific titbits to the lurking media. The case is subjudice, some sections of the media seem to think that everyone here is 1SL. It's unusual for such a thread to last this long without beeing locked.

When the Court Martial reaches a verdict, crack on.

And what make you think that any Journo could be arsed to trawl through this load of bollocks for a quote?

You really must stop thinking that this site so so important that anyone other than you has all the answers.

Commenting about some person who has decided that the The conflict is not to his likeing, I feel is quite Ok.

But I stand by your ruling

Seadog, I think you are getting a bit paranoid about the press, IF they were going to trawl the sites looking for a quote or two I think they would start with ARRSE, it being a Army site rather than a Navy one.

I have just got to Page 5 of 10 pages of posts in the ARRSE thread, and have seen no sign of the kind of mederation you prefere to wield, and the comments in gerneral are every bit as robust if not more so than those in this thread. The phot of the L/Cpl Joe Glenton with a white feather and a target on his forhead sums up the gerneral feeling on ARRSE

Edited to clarify how many pages of posts see Bold

PINCH and mikh and anyone else who doesn't get it. The very reason the thread is still on display and open is because other than a few earlier chops posters have steered clear of the kind of comments that get Courts Martial threads locked or binned, by mods or admin (the owners). I haven't read the ARRSE posts, maybe the posts don't fall foul of site rules or maybe no mods have looked in yet. There is life outside the internet.

ARRSE is more quotable but RR (Slim and others) have been quoted in the press already. Good CO has been interviewed by the police recently in relation to what is (was) on the site. You, we are not anonymous.

seadog, have a look at the ARRSE thread, a Mods have posted, not sure if CA is there area of responsibity but still a bit closer to the bone than on RR

So what? I've explained why this thread is open and offered possible reasons why ARRSE's thread is open. Why is there still an issue? PM or Site Issues if you please.
