Sneakies off Sweden?

#3
We were very good Maxi77. We were doing sneaky-beaky trips long before this, on most of the P&O boats sailing out of Faslane during the 60's. I did several on Walrus. Always knew when we were going on one as they took the indicator buoys out of the casing, and the radio transmitters out of the RT shack and replaced them with "monitoring and recording" equipment.
Down the Clyde and through the Cumbraes and then dive. Three months later, surface just off the Cumbraes. Great fun!

Oh I know, I was there too, just I know just a little bit about what was happening in Sweden too, and you wouldn't have done some of it with an 'O' boat.

We prefered sunnier climes, and they welded the escape hatches shut so we couldnt go sun bathing.
Is/Was welding stuff shut....errrrr legal??
Seems a bit extreme to me, unless you
