Shoulder injury

Hi everyone I'm in the middle of my RM application. I've recently injured my shoulder not sure what it is I spoke to my GP over the phone and he said it's a muscular issue but it doesn't feel like it is I can feel the pain at the back of my shoulder mainly but a little bit at the front as well I've got full movement it starts to hurt when I do push ups.

Has anyone here had a similar issue or anything like it? I would really appreciate the help especially if I can avoid going to my GP

I'm worried I might have to get a cortisone injection does anyone know what position that would put me in with my application?

Thank you.

Not qualified to give you an answer.

However I pulled this lot from the site 'Search' facility top right on home page. (Always a good place to start).

If nothing else, it'll give you something to read and see your not alone with injuries and the worry the give!! Hope it sorts itself out for you.

It was your round and you pulled your shoulder trying to reach the bottom of your pocket?

@St.Michel
Shoulder is a very complex joint, tell your GP about your future career aims and ask for a referral to a shoulder specialist.
Thank you everyone for the replies really appreciate it.

I'm going to ring my GP tomorrow morning hopefully they can refer me to a shoulder specialist like you've mentioned thank you.

Nope - dog got under my feet and I went down like a sack of the proverbial. Sadly, there was a personal design failure, in that my collar bone, which is designed to break in these instances, didn't, and I took the full fall on my dominant arm. Rotator cuff 100% fecked. Need to use both hands to get a full pint of G&T up to my mouth!

Do you know if it'll ever go back to normal at all?

He is old and knackared, you is young, with the correct treatment may be ok.
