Should I inform my afco about going to doctors?

Hi just a quick one

A few days ago I found a ball just off the top of my testical (went from 0-100 real quick) I’m going to phone my GP to check it out but just wondering if I let my afco know now or in future if it’s anything serious? I have my joining date for this year and don’t want it prosponed if it’s nothing serious..

I’ve had this problem before and just turned out to be a Sperm cyst And I’m thinking this is just the same one but I don’t want to risk it.
Any help will be appreciated

I think that the best thing to do is to get in touch with your surgery first thing on Monday - I'm not sure whether GPs are doing face to face appointments all over the country at the moment, but, if they aren't, they are calling patients for a phone consultation.

It may be that the GP will want to do an in person appointment later in the week.

Once the GP has told you what he/she thinks this is, send an e-mail to your CA to tell him/her, just to make sure that you have let him/her know and then take it from there.

Pardon the pun, good for you having the ‘balls’ to ask and be so honest.

Give the AFCO a call and be honest, that way you have your bases covered. If it’s nothing, give them a SITREP.

Also, we are quite open minded in the service. So, we aren’t easily embarrassed.

yeah I think this is what I’ll do, just wasn’t too sure what the reaction would be from the CA would be I really don’t want to loose my place at Raleigh or my PRNC if it it’s nothing hopefully it all goes smoothly

I understand how deadly testicular cancer is in young men so I always check hopefully it’s nothing and my CA it’s very easy to talk to so I’m sure it won’t be a problem telling him, thank you for the response

Phoned my GP on a thursday , saw her the next day and she had me in to York hospital for X-ray the following thursday , this was last month so I think they are on the ball with stuff.
