Introduction:My client, based in Gloucestershire, is a leading communications company specialising in high end technology for their customers on a worldwide basis. Due to continued expansion my client is now looking for an additional Senior Trainer Maintenance to join their training department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of training courses for the engineering and support departments.
It is vital that applicants have a sound demonstrable background in designing and delivering training within a HIGH TECHNOLOGY environment along with the ability to repair PCBs to component level.

Responsibilities:- Develop, in conjunction with the engineering and support departments, suitable training courses and packages in line with our client's customer's requirements.  - Assist and advice on the preparation of handbooks and documentation.- Carry out training on our client's products.  This will involve extensive travel both in the UK and overseas. - Design, prepare and produce training packages at appropriate level which can be supplied to customers to allow some 'on the job' training.- Work with other members of the ILS, Project and Support teams to build up and improve the training capability.- Carry out analysis on training needs using techniques such as Training Needs Analysis, Training Specific Task Analysis, Training Options and Gap Analysis.- Assist with training plans, and provide data as needed, at bid stage.- Assist with the preparation of tender documentation.
Applicant Requirements:- You will have a proven background in providing successful training in high technology professional and/or military products.- Successful completion of IPC610 and IPC620 certification.- Extensive knowledge of testing and diagnosis to component level using appropriate test equipment and BITE.- Proven knowledge in maintenance and repair of PCB's to component level.- Previous experience of calibration procedures.- Although not essential knowledge of Army Equipment Support Publications (AESPs) and Air Publications (APs) would be an advantage.- Computer literate.- Self starter, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- Full driving licence.
Due to the nature of my client's business, it is essential that the successful applicant has the ability to achieve security clearance to a minimum of SC.
