Security Clearance level for MASM

#1
I spent a good half a hour searching with no luck. So might as well start a new thread.
Do submariners as they have to work at Clyde a base with nuclear weapons need the CTC clearance level? or just the SC?
and as I am only 16 what would they search for? as I don't have a financial history nor criminal history.

The bare minimum for any matelot, never mind Submariner, is a SC. CTC is a counter terrrorism check which is a far lower standard than a SC. As a MASM you will need a SC, perhaps needing a DV for specific jobs later in you career. You will also be subject to the Caldicott principles as a medic.

No one said they would.
I thought he was answering my second question that why I was so confused. May i also ask. I know they search your internet history but i have 5 family members in my house how do they know who searched what? Also if they find something in your search history like "How to get onto the dark web?" (I have searched this but have never been on it or downloaded the browser) would that be a reason to deny me clearance? Or does a specific law need to be broken?

Checking your search history?? that’s a new one to me because I’m sure I would have been asked many questions otherwise.... think you’ve been told porkies

Not so much told porkies as failed to spot a wind up.
The OP may think they are the same but will learn, normally the hard way, they can't be totally different.
But be warned now you have passed your security it is your responsibility to manage what you post on line.

There is some truth in the internet history reference.

As part of Developed Vetting, higher than SC, they will want to know specifically what websites, such as which porn sites, you visit. It's all about being honest, transparent and un-blackmailable.

Owning up to viewing porn isn't an issue, but for some reason admitting I know the URL's for certain sites off the top of my head is more embarrassing.
