Search and Rescue

  1. Hey guys/gals.

    As you can see im new here.
    Currently in uni with 3 years left to go but im thinking of joining up at the end of the course.
    What i want to go into would be like the search and rescue like the lifeboat sort of thing but im also interested in the Seaman Specialist path (further on up the chain even though that only comes with time) and i would just like to ask if this is the right path to go into for initial interest i stated.
    Ive always wanted to join the RNLI but where i live if i were to join it i would end up in a pretty shitty and very low paying job to be anywhere near the boat to be of use (as its a voulenteer service as most of you will already know).

    Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

  3. Ah ha, thank mate. had a look about here and must have glanced over it. the Official website doesnt give much in the way of info either.
