Is saluting without a cap acceptable, or is a cap always required?OK, from memory:
Upper arm should be horizontal, in line with the shoulders, (not pointing forwards or backwards) *
Forearm, wrist, fingers and thumb should all be in line, with palm facing slightly towards the face, touching the head just above the end of the right eyebrow or equivalent position on the cap peak.
* Slight variations required when saluting to the side, ("eyes right/left").
Oh yeah... use the RIGHT hand
