Russia vs Ukraine

Not sure this goes here or political bollocks

but the draft dodger is a very dangerous nutter, ego before reality

Lets hope this is an home goal, as the yanks like to thank their service men and women for there service.

A part of me can understand Trumps point of view. After all - he's not renowned for being PC!!
If your not paying in then why should they have the same perks as those that do pay their way.
NATO should have a policy if no payments over a pre stated period of time them protection isn't guarenteed. No Payments at all and your no longer a NATO member and as such not eligible for members protection.

It looks like some of the EU are finally starting to see the threat of Putin and Trump, and are taking action

And putting their hands in their pockets to finally start to pay a reasonable amount for their own defence!

Same could be said for us, it’s about time we got our ducks in a row and sorted out the mess that defence has become and develop a clear long term strategy for rebuilding our armed forces to a credible level.
Years of underinvestment, botched procurement and falling numbers coupled with defence being viewed as a cash cow for the City of London have well and truly come home to roost.

Having an Army that couldn’t provide a decent sized crowd for a football game at Wembley never mind fight a prolonged war isn’t credible. Sadly we seem bereft of a political class who can look forward instead of backwards coupled with a debt mountain and a stagnant economy the future doesn’t look rosey.

We have years of political talk and debate before our politicians commit to an action plan.
That or we’ll be invaded ourselves!!!

Part of our political issue, many moons ago a large number of politicians saw some service, most now have no idea about training, retention and staying current in a rapid changing world, running the forces on a bare minimum is great for saving money, but when the shit hits the fan?
