Rural Ambulance Times

Apparently it takes an ambulance longer to reach a patient in rural area compared to one in and urban area. Well "no shit Sherlock". No-one should be shocked or outraged by this news as it is stating the bleeding obvious. There never has or ever will be an Ambulance waiting in every village or hamlet across our green and pleasant for a call out. We who live in rural area know this and factor it in when deciding whether a life away from the madding crowds is what we really want. No-ones life is risk free wherever they live and I for one am happy to take my chances away from the traffic and stabbings and every other aspect of big city and town life.

Ambulance takes to much time to reach a rural area. So, the people, who live in a rural area have too much hard to get health service and other services.

As I said first time people who live in rural areas know the risks healthwise. If they really don't feel safe they can have the chance to move nearer to a bigger town.

Totally agree Waspie..also confused by his statement. I might ask our Indian restaurant owner what he means next time I am in town!

I live in the bush, closest hospital is 80km away, but as stated it is my choice to be away from the maddening rat run of city life, and all of it's weirdo's. Can't remember the last time we had to lock our doors. Home sweet (quiet) home:37237
