RR Members phot thread (Only pics you've taken yourself)

Posted this earlier in the other place; re-posted here for Dorseteers such as @Waspie and
those who like the IOW like @Stirlin.

Took in a drive to the West Wight yesterday - a pleasant day with good visibility. I took these pictures of the Isle of Wight's south-west coast - known as the Back of the Wight - from near Blackgang. Apart from the eroded coastline, the chalk cliffs near Freshwater Bay are visible in both of the first two. The first pic also shows the hills of Dorset centre left.

The third picture - apologies for the very poor quality as it was taken at maximum zoom on the Galaxy A12 phone camera - also shows the Dorset coast. Interestingly for me, it also shows the silhouette of the Isle of Portland apparently to the left of the headland which I assume to be St Aldhelm's. Portland is actually a lot further away than St Aldhelm's - I reckon it's the best part of 50 miles from where I took the picture.

Were you there for the Autumn Submarine Grand Prix?

And another me as skipper of the SELIMIYE in Side, Turkey a few years back, fleecing tourists of their Turkish lira/Euros/any monetary denomination for a jolly trip and a few wets.
Nahhh...photoshopped myself into a nice chilled out dream future retirement scenario.
Still - we're giving some serious thought to selling up and biting the bullet and going somewhere vastly different from current abode and lifestyle. Sort of a "what's left of life crisis'.

Get the NHS to sort you out first, medical stuff expensive

Getting the important parts serviced and re-jigged. Will ease into 2024 and then me'n'her will get into some serious discussions about our time left on this planet. Plenty of pensions (after f*cking tax!) to self support...WolfPackLeader gets hers in December plus a hefty bit of equity in my slum (even in the current financial climate) so I don't think lack of dosh would be a stopper. And, by checking Ancestry, we both qualified for Irish passports by descent...which makes everything much more favourable. Already have all the relevant docs bought and paid for but no applications put forward as yet. WolfPack could even claim Italian status if she wanted another dual nationality!
A decision WILL be made.

Discussion we are to have, her pension not till Jan 26 mine next August. Even after taxes we should be OK. We are looking down the route of motor home and travel possibly with dogs, apparently most broken into vehicle?
One of the youngsters at work, ho look I can get an Irish passport, and loose all security clearance, removing himself from key projects, he never thought of that, denied promotion due to no clearance.
