I've noticed a few disgruntled colleagues on Facebook (mostly serving or ex-service personnel) dripping about the number of "slebs" that received honours this week, just for "doing their jobs..." Not taking anything away from those listed above and elsewhere, but could the same not be said for Armed Forces personnel that receive MBEs/CBEs/OBEs, etc.? :?

BZ to all, anyway. No name-dropping from me, but I would buy some a drink if/when I get the chance...

Birthday Honours

Many congratulations to Lt Col Cliff Dare MBE RMR and to CSgt Pete Roberts QVRM RMR.

It was good to see the news this morning. I know Pete very well, his service has been exemplary and he is the best dose of moral in the worst of situations and at every other time.

Pete is well known throughout the HW Branch (Mors) where he has worked tirelessly in support of the Corps.

Absolutely brilliant news.
