Re: Oh no, not again!! Another Marine dies today!

The Daily Telegraph has two photographs; one of Marine Curry, (RIP) and one supposedly of Kingsman Alex Green of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment. The latter photo is of a Royal Marine recruit. Is this a cockup?

No!!

Alex Green from Warrington Cheshire was at one time a Royal Marine Cadet.

Due to an injury not sure what he could not follow on and join RM so he entered the Army.

Reading and hearing we lost two good servicemen today who where both dedicated soldiers.

Thoughts are with there loved ones.

Re: Oh no, not again!! Another Marine dies today!

Just to clear this up, as I think some people are confused with it:

Two servicemen were KIA at the weekend (Saturday 13/01/07). They have been named as Royal Marine Thomas Curry (from 42 Commando) and Kingsman Alex Green from the Duke of Lancastres Regiment

This thread as posted by Noemsis, relates to a second Marine that has been KIA yesterday (Monday 15/2/07). He is from 45 Commando but has yet to be named.

Three servicemen KIA in the space of a few days - two of them Booties. Its a frightening prospect, as the Taliban prepare to launch a new wave of attacks in the spring.

Stay safe lads.

Just a thought, but if we are posting the sad news of a death in service, perhaps we should give a clearer in description of circumstances in the thread title.

For example: Royal Marine KIA (Afghanistan) 13/01/07

Just to avoid any confusion.
