    For those of you that have access to the intranet, on the defence news, a headline read something like 'Airborne troops smash Taleban drugs Factory'. First thing I though was, but that was Royal, not Para Reg! (Of course they're Air Assault these days). Obviusly the sub-editor need a good slap. As many of the troops did deply from helos, that would make it an Air Assault Op anyway. Hacks...

    Was it really a dog or a local with stunted growth and bad curvature of the spine? Yep that's the op though. You think the Defence Intranet would know what they were talking about..

    The "Defence Intranet" as with so much else of a "Defence" nature in the UK has probably been civilianised up the ying yang and the guy who populates the site is more than likely some spotty 18 year old with a flair for playing computer games (hence his post in IT) on work experience whose only uniformed experience was in the Boy Scouts - either that or he is just a knobhead.
