Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Research question
An officer I`m writing a biography of was a Lt RNVR, 1917; my question is, for how long would he have remained on the reserve after that conflict?
Asking as he may have had an intelligence role in Europe a few years later, and I would like to confirm my idea.
    thanks

  2. Have you tried the RN Museum in Portsmouth? What about the RN Historical Section there too?

  3. Do you have any more details about him? His full name would help you look up his service records which are at the public records office or some such place.

  4. thanks chaps
