Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Dear all,

First post and all - a refugee from PPrune, so pls bear with me. Does anyone know about the medical requirements (banter asides) for transfer from the RAuxAF in the "new" RN Int Branch.

  2. I wouldn't have thought medicals would be an issue; judging from the number of medical discharges we accept from the army, I don't imagine you even get assessed, as long as you can pass your RNFT.
  3. Many thanks, will check with AFCO.

  4. B*llocks, I'm afraid.

You have to pass an entry medical, conducted by a Final Examining Medical Officer (not an RN/RNR MO) - the AFCO will arrange this.
