    From henceforth the upper age limit for entry into the RNR is to be increased. Candidates will be able to join up their 43rd Birthday.

    I've got the bit of paper somewhere with the policy reference, but it's Gen Dit.

    I heard that there is a typo and its actually 142!

    But it's still not much use to me unless they increase the upper age limit to at least 70.......

    Just to clarify, the upper age of 42 is for "untrained" Officers & Ratings.

    Those with former service as a trained rating/officer can join up to age 57, subject to rank/rate, currency & requirements of the service.
