RNR Handbook

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello there, I'm currently preparing for an AIB and have heard that the RNR new entry training handbook is a useful source of information about the naval service. Is it possible to get your hands on one of these?

    Many thanks Tim
  2. If you are RNR already then go to your New Entry Team, if you haven't passed through the portals of security etc then this book may be considered "restricted". To be honest all you need for AIB if you are direct entry is a thorough look through the website.
  3. The RN website (www.royalnavy.mod.uk) and your AFCO can furnish you will more than enough information. It is also a good idea to practise psychometric tests (books are available for this purpose) and to think about what questions you might be asked in the interview (eg, "why do you want to be an officer").
