RN Medical test

well, im thinking about joining the navy, but i know the wait time is a long time at the minute for most jobs in there, average i would say is about 1 year ? anyway during the medical test you have to give a urine sample, what are they looking for ? drugs or steroids ? even so if you took steroids could it be detected in your medical test ? this is just hyperthetically cause im just interested that i heard a few lads on steroids passed it ?

The initial Medical Tests are to test for medical conditions only. You will only be tested for Drugs/Steriods once in service. However, if you have been taking steriods or Drugs, it might be worth having a chat with your careers advisor before it gets to you potentially being thrown out of the RN in the future.

Worthwhile stopping your illicit drugs now - you won't be taking them if you join and you might as well get used to doing phys instead of cheating with tablets that shrink your balls.

Quite.

Blokes wishing to serve in the armed forces ideally need balls:

Recreational drugs & steroids fall into the same category in the service.
