My current duvet cover plus a lovely pillow case.
Brexit - according to Arrse as the Mods moved all Brexit threads out of Current AffairsHurricanes, destruction, UK response, alleged genocide in Burma, Brexit, police morale, Kim Jong Un loving the Bomb, RN counterpanes,
Which is not Current Affairs?
Issued to all in '73, had to cover the middle third of your rack, anchor uppermost when boxing the bed every morning..can't believe I had to do that, looking back nowI think at Ganges, counterpanes were only issued to Leading and PO Juniors. I never had one in 1959
No smart arse, boxing the bed every morning, or doubling up and down the long covered way with my mattress over my head if not done properly or caught "slack hammocks" (only did that once, once bitten etc)wot the bed boxing or making your own bed? I bet the lying Twat at recruiting promised you a butler?
long covered way knew it well along with faith, hope & charityNo smart arse, boxing the bed every morning, or doubling up and down the long covered way with my mattress over my head if not done properly or caught "slack hammocks" (only did that once, once bitten etc)
only if the right size? One of my old shipmates in London (ex-RN 1970's) bought one on eBay recently.....I think he paid GBP300 for it.....worth every penny, I'd say. I'd love to have one, and what grates on me most is thinking of all the opportunities that I had to pilfer one........sorry, "liberate" one.......especially the short time that I worked in the Bedding Store at Mercury as an off-courseman awaiting my draft. Still, musn't grumble, I've still got 2 pairs of steaming bats from the 70s that gather value as each year passes!!
