Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Got my PJFT later this month and on the latter I received it had no mention of the Royal Marines Acquaint Day, just said I'd be contacted to book a PRMC should I pass, which I was pleasantly surprised with. Has the RMAD been scrapped?
  2. I don't think it's been stopped but it's not compulsory which is probably why the letter doesn't mention it.

The RMAD has never been an element of selection for the Royal Marines. It is, however, a useful tool for the applicant to gauge their readiness to attend PRMC, if available.

A PRMC should never be delayed in order to attend an RMAD, but many a howling failure has been avoided by attending one.
