RIP Henry Allingham 1896-2009

  1. Henry Allingham died this morning aged 113. He was one of the last surviving servicemen from WW1, witnessed the Battle of Jutland and founder member of the RAF.

    Soleil's already posted this a little while ago, I was very emotional to hear about it as I had read and taken a keen interest in his life story in detail. What a fantastically bittersweet life it has been for him. RIP
