Cabaret star Danny La Rue dies aged 81
Though he had gone years ago?
I thought he died in the 80s!
Wasn't he a Steward in the RN during WW2?
He was in the mob after the war as he was just a sprog when it started.
He came aboard the Aurora in Gib in 69, and he had us all in stiches, and we all thought when he came aboard that he was a bender. We didn't think that after he left, and fookin could he put the tot away.
Good hand but his sh*t stunk.
RIP you old Queen
His mate used ro run the old keyham arms near aggies in guzz back in the mid to late sixties
The guy had class.
He was prettier than some birds I've seen  RIP

Gawd bless 'im and all who 'sailed' up 'im! 8O
Much better looking than the 'girls' in Lils.
Picture this scene, four poker players[including me] sitting bored playing for pennies in 1972 awaiting for some mug to enter the casino for a game.
In walks a guy who slams down a lot[£300] on the table and wants a game.
Our eyes lit up and his filled with tears and he promptly lost the lot which we all shared.
Some asked him why he was crying and he said he was Danny's boyfriend who had just been kicked out of his bed with a payoff and told not to come back.
He didn't care if he lost it he said, neither did we.
Thats my Danny story, remember it with affection.
