Retrospective war pension

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I left the RN in 1975, and during my service I had foot trouble and had a toe amputated. Later whilst working in Saudi Arabia, I required a number of surgical operations. When I returned to the UK in 1999, I was advised to make a claim for war pension. They would only pay back to the date I applied, can I appeal to get retrospective payment to my date of discharge.
  2. Speak with the RBL,they will know more about it
  3. Unfortunately you can't get it retrospectively. I speak from experience.
