Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Where do you stay? At the DDS?

If so, exactly what is life in week.

  3. Ah yes, my simple mind couldn't comprehend such a quip.

  4. Ollie, if you mean 'Live-in Week', it's like the US Navy Seals 'Hell Week' (link) but the instructors are not so benevolent and you get less sleep. You will have austere accommodation at DDS, Horsea Island but don't expect to see much of it. For a further insight, read Ginge Fullen's slightly dated but still valid account of his own diving course, particularly Week 6 (Link). Just remember that every CD in the RN has done it and just take one day at a time. The week is over before you know it and I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute... if only in retrospect. :thumright:

  5. Divers live at collingwood and are transported to horsea island everyday.
