I am seeking information about a Thorneycroft built motor yacht (1934) originally called Estrellita. It was requisitioned by the RN and apparently served as a harbour defence patrol vessel in the Chatham/Rochester area during WW2 between June 1940 and August 1943. The boat is now known as Rake's Retreat and is currently being restored on the Norfolk Broads. It was briefly owned by Hughie Green in the sixties. I am looking for any information regarding its wartime service. Although it is not on the Dunkirk Flotilla list I understand that not every boat that was used is not necessarily noted. We are not sure if there is a possibility that it was used in the flotilla. Any information would be welcomed.
