Rememberance Garden at 45 Commando Arbroath

#1
45 Commando is seeking to raise 150,000 to provide a Woodland Garden at the base which can be used as an area of peace and contemplation by Royal Marines and their families who seek a quiet area to think about those comrades or family members who have died or been seriously injured on active service.

The garden will be officially opened on the 11th November 2011. It will be a private ceremony attended by the NOK and loved ones of the Royal Marines of 45Cdo who have died on active service since the unit came to Arbroath at the end of 1969. The opening will be followed by the medals parade for those who have recently returned from Afghanistan with 3 Commando Brigade.
