A young Royal Marines officer has collapsed and died while taking part in the notoriously gruelling '30-miler' exercise on Dartmoor. The officer died on Thursday during the yomp which marks the last major test of a 32 week training course at the Commando Training Centre at Lympstone, near Exeter. In a statement, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, said the cause of death was unknown. "This incident is being investigated and the thoughts and sympathies of the Naval service are with the family and friends of this man." Rest in Peace young Sir.
