Recruitment Test

I had 2 weeks holiday before my RT, so I used this time to prepare for it. When it came to it, I was obviously nervous, but as I had practiced all the sections, I was cautiously optimistic.

As you're quite close to the beginning of the process, you can change your preference right up until your AFCO requests a place for you, as Ninja said in an earlier post.

I am looking at logs on the submarine service. This may be why my application has been so quick.

Have you tried to find out when/where there is an open day at a base near you? Might be worth going along so you can ask some questions?

So, i've been really busy with work but got some time this week to post on here, my recruit test had to be changed again because the AFCO had to change the test time. The time had to be changed from morning to afternoon so I had to reschedule. At this rate you'll be passing out while I sit my RT lol.

Yea, i'd imagine that they probably get less applicants for the submarine service. It could be good for you though, if it's what you want to do and end up getting fast tracked.

No i haven't actually, that's a good idea though and i'm surprised i hadn't already thought about that. It's something i'll be having a look at.

The delay could work in your favour. You will have more time to decide which branch you want to go in to, and obviously prepare for the RT.

Not sure at this rate. I am still waiting for my medical after a Capita mess up. Fortunately, this is next week. Fingers crossed!

Yes, that's true, especially the RT. After much more research though in to considering what role i want i'm almost certain now that i want to go for seaman specialist.

Just looking forward to getting this RT out of the way now and getting the ball rolling.

Hopefully they won't keep you waiting too long, good luck with your medical.

Sounds like you're making some headway with your decision. Once the RT is done, things should start rolling quickly. Best of luck!
