  1. so i recently sat my recruitment test, and based on the results i can basically go for what i want, being 30 (i know im old) is the only limiting factor, but i was told to look at the following, either logistics officer, communications technician, or an engineering role.
One thing to keep in mind was my original plan to go in as a warfare specialist.
i been on the navy site and the jobs arent the best described on there tbh, and i was wondering if anyone could offer more info. the one i was leaning towards was communications specialist, but know very little about it.
Can pm me with info you dont want to post publically, thanks in advance for any help

If you scored high enough for Comms Tech & are educationally qualified for Logs Officer, it just goes to show.

An opening post commencing with the word "so", an indiscrete username and post content that would make our resident grammar Nazis spontaneously combust, may not always be a true reflection of the individuals' true potential :)

Have a read through the comms tech threads, there are some very useful, accurate tips & pointers from a variety of secret squirrels.

    Best of luck.
  3. I'd go CT - by far the most interesting.

  4. out of those, CT.

after the fairly long training phase, for more interesting jobs open to you as you progress up the line.
  5. I believe you go to Leading Hand after you've done your 3 years of training as a CT, so that's a good start. I was speaking to a CPO CT and from what he explained the job seemed very interesting. My close mate is doing it also (in the recruitment process) you do have to get DV'd for the job which seemed to take quite a while for him.

    Good luck.
  6. Not to sound like a noob, whats DV'd ??
  7. Sorry, developed vetting. Most job just require security clearance. Developed vetting is where I believe someone from the MoD interviews you and family/friends. The questions are quite weird.
  8. oh nice, i guess thats what makes a large delay in the process?
  9. They only have 2 intake dates per year as well. My pal is on the next one in October.
  10. im assuming the one after that is april ?? im still early in the process so i dont think i will be ready by october
  11. March I think! No you wouldn't get it done in time for October haha
  12. march isnt to bad, i can do the run in under the time needed, just need a lil more work on push ups and sit ups, everything else after is a nice lil extra =], im aiming to start working out twice a day now to make better progress
  13. I'd just follow the program personally, if you go on the website it's there! What you're describing might seem a little excessive!
  14. im at about 25 push ups and sit ups, but i really want to smach it, and the run i want to get faster by at least 1 minute
