Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm hoping to join the navy as an Air technician or seaman specialist, I'll be sitting the RT test soon I was wondering if anyone could tell me the pass percentage for these roles so I have an aim and target to reach.

For some peculiar reason, we're not allowed to announce pass marks even though they are available on the RN website in the online reference library, for those prepared to take the initiative.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure that knowing the precise pass mark makes a scrap of difference. That said, branches with technician in the title need to score higher than non-tech specialisations.

To give yourself the most job options, score as high as possible. For techs, aim to score 75% correct in each section, for any job, any less than 50% correct in each section could mean a re-sit for your chosen branch. They are your minimum targets, not the pass mark required.
