Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just to show the uk is not the only country with migrants here are the figures for Ireland for last year.

    POLAND 87,715 LITHUANIA 14,805 SLOVAKIA 9,857 LATVIA 7,368 CZECH REPUBLIC 4,136 HUNGARY 3,936 ESTONIA 1,238
    MALTA 131 SLOVENIA 85 CYPRUS 31

    Grand Total 128,702

As with other EEC countries Ireland is restricting Romanian and Albanian immigration. Chairman of the Romanian Society of Ireland Vasile Ungureanu is not very happy.

Three million euros will be spent in the next few years deporting illegal immigrants from Ireland.

  2. Its tough on the Irish that. In contrast Australia with a population of 20 million and a controlled immigration policy had only 178,000 arrivals 45,000 of whom were family members joining their families and 91,000 were skilled immigrants, carefully selected. Almost 17,000 arrived on humanitarian grounds. 16.5% of the overall total were from the UK, more than from anywhere else. It doesnt say how many of those Brits arrived on humanitarian grounds.................

None, but they're all seeking economic asylum from Broon's punitive taxes and Britain's soaring cost of living!

  4. I like the certainty and detail of Backpacker's figures for Ireland.
Our incompetent government would state something like "Probably round about a million, or possibly two, as far as we are able to guesstimate, but owing to the weather/lack of resources/uselessness of our immigration system, we really couldn't put a figure on it."
