Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I left in the last 4 years and went straight into another job. As one poster said, the resettlement time and support provided therein is very good. I believe in the figure. Of course, it doesn't reveal how many of those 95% ended their sentances with "do you want fries with that?"
  2. I think a lot has to do with the individual, I left many moons ago now when ressetlement was a weekend course on how to write a CV. I have only ever been unemployed for the Saturday and Sunday between jobs, and I have known many others where they have had the same experience. Actually getting a job is as much to do with the person as it is with the training and opportunities available.

From personal experience I have seen well qualified people whom no self respecting manager would have given a job, you just know they will be trouble.
