Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just got home from day 1 of my local's beer festival; bloody marvellous, I wish more local pubs could get into this.

And on a personal note, I recommend you stay clear of crocodiles.

(That's not the name of one of the real ales, it's just a bit of general advice)

    There were also some ciders
  2. Hope you didn't spill any on your smock or catch your beard in your satchel.

    Any good folk music?
  3. When I was in Guzz there was this great pub in Turnchapel that had a beer festival on the last weekend of every odd month. It was called The Boringdon Arms, with Barry the landlord. Going back a couple of years now, so may not still be there. He used to get 30-odd beers in and the place was rammed for 3 days!
I recall a great one he got down from Scotland called Red MacGregor, well worth hunting down if you can.
  4. Ha ha, I was on the lookout for those Viz characters you're referring to but didn't spot any.
Maybe they're saving themselves for tonight.

I left before the folk music started having reached... er... capacity :drunken:
  5. I like beer, I don't like crocodiles, excellent post, keep up the good work.
