Re-joining

Gnasher

Newbie
Evening,
I served for 4.5 years as a surface fleet MA. Did the usual and left for the Mrs at the time.
Anyway, long story short, she jacked the relationship in 8 months in to me being home.
So... I have re-applied back in September 2016.
I'm still waiting on clearance is what the AFCO keep telling me. They also keep saying "it's all looking good and going in the right direction" but I haven't heard anything for a while now.
I'm re-joining as a MA(SM) and wondered would this take longer to get back in the RN I love and miss terribly. Should never have left!

Assuming you left by merely submitting notice, completed an online application last September, produced your discharge documents & signed consent for the release of your med docs in the same month, I cannot understand why it has taken nearly six months to gain Approval to Process. Two to three months tops usually for a trained re-entrant.

Or do you mean you are waiting for Security Clearance?

PM inbound.

It took me from re applying as an AET until my start date (26th March) at Raleigh a full 14 months. That includes pre application, application, interview, testing, medical, PJFT etc.
