My son passed his fitness test approx july last year. He's recently been given a start date in sept for Raleigh and a PRNC date of July but this morning hes had a letter to re take the fitness test again. Is this due to it being over a year when he starts from his first fitness test.
  2. Yes the PJFT is only valid for a year. I think the same is true for Security Clearance too so worth checking when that was gained too

Thank you. Assume the Afco would tell him about security clearance as well
  4. Yes but I've read many times that SC can be a big hold up if it doesn't come through in time for your start date. If it was me in your sons shoes id ring my AFCO to find out when it runs out and if it needs to be re-submitted, do so as soon as you can. If it was granted october onwards you shouldn't have to do it again

It was well before October. I will tell him thank you
  6. I can vouch for this - It mucked up my first start date for me! Get onto your AFCO if it's going to over a year old before he starts!

I'll get him to chase it up. Thanks
