Is there a future for Rum Ration if the site is monopolised by those wishing to join Raleigh or the RFA.
Can the Site prevail at that low level. Where are those old sailors with fascinating tales to tell? Are they computer illiterate or just modest. Let's hear from them and consign the spotty-faced Erks to somewhere else.

Not enough OJ in the Brasso!
Bluebell never Brasso. Who recalls what our tomato sauce was called. Heinz was far too expensive for our beloved 5thSea lord. His was from Fortnum and Masons. Ours from some London Back Street. But what was it called?

@Nippit If it's old dits and yarns from the rolling deep you're seeking I suggest you get yourself a Facebook account and have trawl around the many groups for past RN members. But be wary because if you spout too much bollox you'll find yourself ejected.

Tomato Sauce/Red Lead Producer? Pass.

@Nippit Whenever the daily churnover at RR seems unworthy of one's precious time the options include:

1. Start a controversial thread: Exposing y'self to the full monty of spooling, grrrammer, apostrophilers, nodulators, black-catters, and other pedantic numpties. Once rolling along (three posts will do) veer well off track by changing the subject.

2. Resurrection: Update any ancient thread with "but in my day..." or by bringing the latest slant onto any old subject matter.

3. Passive: Trawl aimlessly through previous subjects, diverting onto the individual who may have made 'an interesting comment' and go to their profile page to find other gems they've posted. [Starters for ten - have a good look through https://www.navy-net.co.uk/community/threads/bloody-police.55011/ ]

Finally, if a cryptographer try decoding some of Sumo's Posts...
