Rail card (war pension)

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I asked the RBL about this but they were no help considering on the main site it states they issue them to war widows/war widowers

Hopefully a scribes can help me

I'm a veteran getting a medical pension and also drawing a war pension and was wondering if the war pension would get me a rail card?

I know they don't offer them to veterans but I'm sure the war pension might hangs my eligibility

  2. Just look on the national rail website. All the details are there. Iirc you need to be severely disabled. About 70% disability. Ie almost dead.
They don't pass them out just because you have a war pension.

You can get an Oyster card for free travel within London via a war pension.
Details are on the veterans site
