Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Radio 4's midday programme You and Yours did a special today entitled "Is Britain failing its Armed Forces?". I've heard part of it but not all - I'm going to listen to it properly later.

It's available to listen to here:

  2. link is broken

Apologies - pls try the link again.

  4. I listened to it. Some not very articulate points made by members of the public. A very forthright contributon from the Commander RN, and quite a lot of politico-waffle from the "Minister for the Armed Forces" or whatever his name is. Freddie Forsyth did a good job, but the complacency of the current, and former Governments, stuck out like a sore thumb.
"We are spending X billions on the services, therefore we are doing a great job and all you plebs should be grateful, go away!"
