Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The largest ever cruise ship to enter the River Mersey, and the Flag Ship of the Cunard Line, Queen Mary 2 will be visiting Liverpool Cruise Terminal on 20 October 2009 as part of her 5th birthday celebrations.

The 148,000 ton vessel will berth in the city at approximately 12.30pm, where she will remain for the day to greet her admirers.

There is no public access onto the cruise berth however she can be viewed from the entire Pier Head and Princes Dock area.
HMS Illustrious Visits 22nd to 27 th October 2009 as centerpiece of the Royal Navys continuing celebration to mark this years Centenary of Naval Aviation :)
  2. Is Illustrious's old man a Scouser by any chance?
  3. Was the fly past scheduled for 1400 on Friday just to prove a point? Seems like a funny time to do it otherwise.
