PTI recruitment

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone have any information on the current state of RN PTI's branch recruitment? Are they still oversubscribed? Also any useful info on the selection process/course itself much appreciated (please try to refrain from hair gel/tan/starched shorts/to the top CLIMB! Comments, I know it's hard!) cheers
  2. Should have added in main post, currently at RCDM Birmingham, no RN clubswinger (or military gym for that matter) in easy reach, unit PTI is army bless her, so not much knowledge on pussers side of things

As stated, Temeraire would be the more logical direct approach - if there aren't any places on PTI courses, it's a non-starter.

The other issue, is of course manning balance in the source branch - you could always ask you career manager via your Divisional Officer whether manning clearance is feasible in your case. If your "DO" is non-RN, ring the career manager yourself & explain your circumstances and the reason for the direct approach - hold the phone away from your lugs in case your Career Manager is of a less than affable disposition.

Ignore any jibes surrounding hair gel/tan/starched shorts/to the top CLIMB, etc., and just strike a pose, flexing your "Homeward Bound" tatt on your bicep, wearing your RayBans, that'll shut them up, no problem.
