Hello All

I sat my psychometric test today and thankfully passed i wanted to just share a few links to some videos i used to help me brush up on maths and physics.and give a few bits of advise to anyone about to do theirs.

Firstly Maths, i've not done any formal maths in years and have gone out of my way to avoid it. i was very rusty with my maths. This youtube channel gives you a lot of information and clearly shows you step by step maths. I find him very easy to follow and some of his videos show you how to do maths problems really quickly and simply. https://www.youtube.com/user/tecmath

Mechanical problems and physics. Found these videos on youtube they are mega cheesy but they are actually very good! ignore the awful music and sound effects because the information is very clearly given to you and is actually very helpful.

Hope this helps some of you especially those who may have not done maths and physics for a long time.
I also bought a book "Royal Navy Recruiting Test" its not worth the time or money in my opinion better off sticking to the tones of free stuff online.

Practice to the clock time goes very quickly!

Finally dress smart. Its not formal but its the first time the recruiting staff see you. They want to see you make some effort. Don't worry about a full suit just smart trousers and a shirt is plenty but i think it goes a long way. smile be polite and relax.

Best of luck.

Thanks for putting this up! Have my test on Monday! I noticed you mentioned 'Royal Navy Recruiting test', was this by any chance from the 'how 2 become' series? I've been using that book and wondered if it had any relevance to the actual test?

Yep that's the one. Its okay and it does help but really the information and plenty of practice stuff is already on the net. In my opinion its probably a little bit harder then the test itself so if your doing well with the book you will probably find you do well with the test.

Best of luck mate.
