PRNC Press-ups (Females)

News just in....

Those joining HMS Raleigh should be aware that as part of a trial, recruits and trained ratings, male and female, will conduct a one minute maximal test of sit-ups and one minute maximal test of full press-ups.

It is not a pass/fail test, just a means of gathering data for changes that may or may not be implemented at a later date.

The New Entry Fitness Test and the Royal Navy Fitness Test pass/fail criteria remains "as is" until further notice.

Those joining HMS Raleigh, male and female, are therefore advised to practice maximum effort one minute of sit-ups and maximum effort one minute of full press-ups as part of their routine fitness preparations in accordance with the Pre Joining Fitness Programme.

how low do you have to go?

Judging by the pre-joining fitness programme, your chest touches the clenched fist of your oppo on each dip.
Press-ups.jpgSupport position: Hands should beplaced shoulder-width apart with your fingers pointing forward; your back should be straight with head and eyes looking naturally forward. From this position your body should be lowered until your chest is just clear of the ground (arms at 90 degrees), and then extend your arms back to the support position.

Does anyone know what is the best type of bag to take, and what is the best iron to use?

Take
an old bag with an Iron or find a choky Dobie

Find the person with the biggest hands for your training partner

You can now legally take your mum to HMS RALEIGH with you when you commence training. She will have the top bunk in your cabin, you will have the bottom one. Your mum can then ensure that New Entries are always smartly turned out at all times and have enough pocket money to buy sweets from the shop. This radical new approach to training at HMS RALEIGH does not suit everyone, especially those who have not yet perfected the art of masturbating quietly......especially when your **** fantasy is based around your own sister. Trainees from Cornwall do not have a problem with this, but people from other counties may find it difficult to reach the vinegar stroke whilst their mum is trying to catch some zeds in the top bunk.

Here was me thinking the military was a fighting unit with well above average fitness levels. Yet people ask about fizz at Raleigh.

Get a ******* grip it's a bit of fizz and sweat. If it sounds too much **** off and work in an office somewhere.

I know it's a little off topic but what's it like representing the Navy in Sport? Is the standard high? Best football team in the forces?
