Is there a lockdown???You are not alone. PRNC has been cancelled since the lockdown.
So they have been cancelling lockdown for a few months now. I’m guessing my PRNC will be pushed quite far back with that backlog if they do them in order also my Raleigh date of 20th July will inevitably moved back as well? You are not alone. PRNC has been cancelled since the lockdown.

I was hoping that wasn’t the case really as a PRNC seemed like quite a valuable experience towards preparing for Raleigh. You will just join as usual on the 20th without partaking in a PRNC.
Personally, I can't see why that is? You'll know what the mobs about when you get there.I was hoping that wasn’t the case really as a PRNC seemed like quite a valuable experience towards preparing for Raleigh.

My honest opinion is I never understood why it was introduced.
As stated, my opinion.
I may be mistaken but I thought the purpose of the PRNC was to check your physical fitness credentials before you start the course at Raleigh. It is no use to anyone if a recruit rocks up at Raleigh being unable to tie their bootlaces without getting puffed. It does seem like a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. If you have waited a year or two to join doing a 4 day course to make sure you know what your in for isn’t going to make much difference. Rather just go straight to Raleigh.
Also if I don’t get to complete my PRNC then what happens about getting my boots for Raleigh as they are meant to be issued if you pass the PRNCI may be mistaken but I thought the purpose of the PRNC was to check your physical fitness credentials before you start the course at Raleigh. Back last year sometime they trialed not having PRNC . I'm only guessing but I imagine Raleigh give you your boots at the start of your course. Also if I don’t get to complete my PRNC then what happens about getting my boots for Raleigh as they are meant to be issued if you pass the PRNC
We all managed!I may be mistaken but I thought the purpose of the PRNC was to check your physical fitness credentials before you start the course at Raleigh. It is no use to anyone if a recruit rocks up at Raleigh being unable to tie their bootlaces without getting puffed.
What was the result of not having PRNC?Back last year sometime they trialed not having PRNC . I'm only guessing but I imagine Raleigh give you your boots at the start of your course.
Fair one, I'll have a skeg. It'll be in the search facilityFrom memory it was brought in because of the poor state of fitness of new recruits resulting in a high failure rate. If @Ninja_Stoker is about he might be able to confirm or otherwise.
That was pretty much what I was thinking. But, I still think it's a waste of money that could be used elsewhere!PRNC w was brought in as a copy (sort of) of the bootie PRMC. It was meant to weed out those unfit or more likely to PVR, also gave the applicant an insight and prevent no shows.
The trial binning PRNC was to have some Phase 1 courses do PRNC and some not and see if the PVR rates were the same.
If there was no difference then PRNC could be binned and money saved, if the PVR rates of those who'd done PRNC was significantly less, then it would stay.
if the PVR rates were higher then it would have a severe looking at.
I don't know what the outcome was.
