Pre-joining medical : where is it?

Hi not sure if this has been answered in previous threads...

I have my Medical face to face booked on 16th of this month with a very vague email from capita saying it’s a meeting with one of their doctors on that date.

There isn’t anything about where it’s based... I can only assume it’s in Birmingham (which is the nearest Capita site to where I am) There’s basically no information about what I need to bring or prepare etc or how long the medical exam is or what I need to expect etc...

Any help on this would be great

Hello,

When I had my face to face medical back in March, it was at a local doctor who specialises in MoD Medicals. If you have not heard anything by tomorrow I would call either Capita and tell them or your local AFCO.

You should receive a email with all the info as I had to do a covid questionnaire and have it sent to them 7 days before the medical.

Hope this helps

I got mine with 4 days notice so maybe they have just let you know early to make sure you are available? You should get a long email with what it entails and COVID procedures etc. Also one thing to note is no protein powder or supplements 7 days before the day.

They can’t legally discriminate against you for being pregnant, HR also can’t ask if you’re pregnant. I would let the health assessment people know you’re pregnant, but it’s up to you if you want to tell HR or not. It shouldn’t make a difference to them either way Kodi nox.

@azoubels , what is your interest in the RN? Can you not crayon on your own Navies website or do you not have one in Algeria?

If you can hear a cracking noise, it's the thin ice you're standing on.

I had mine in October 2020 and because I live outside the UK my recruiter asked where was best for me. That happened to be near Newcastle so I gave him the address id be staying at and he requested the closest capita clinic. Good luck contacting Capita they don't seem to have an email and never answered any of my phone calls. Id give your AFCO a buzz see if they know anything.
