Potential Officer Coaching and Mentoring - milprep.co.uk

Midshipman
Good Afternoon,

I'm posting to announce the launch of my new website www.milprep.co.uk

After 11 years of service as an officer within the Royal Navy, today I handed in my ID card. For the past couple of years I've been working in recruitment, and have gained a wealth of knowledge in how a candidate can give their absolute best at the various interviews and of course the AIB. The aim of MilPrep is to develop potential future officers and prepare them for the rigours of selection.

Please have a look at the website and get in touch if you've any questions!

Ninja does that mean there's a job for you when you hang up your cap, courses on how not to screw up you AFCO interview?

Seems genuine enough although it's relatively unusual to see an operational helicopter pilot spared for an out of spec ACLO appointment for a year or two prior to leaving under normal circumstances.

Richard McMunn the How2Become guy, a former fireman, also offers bespoke courses.

It looks like he was a bagger pilot. I know 2 baggers who accrued so much time in HERRICK they had to be sent to shore jobs to reduce their Sep Service; both went to be ACLOs.

I'd have thought turning one's hand to commercial piloting would've been a better earner, unless perhaps that's in addition to piloting.
oh, and why are they using a picture of a US Navy ship on their UK website?
To be fair, at least 2 baggers haven't been near warships for many moons.

Ninja and Alfred, thanks for your comments. Just to fill you guys in, I was actually medically discharged this Feb, following 11 years of a career that I had hoped would take me to pension point. Unfortunately, I am unable to get a Cat 1 medical given my circumstances or I would have loved to have pursued a career as an Air Ambulance pilot etc. As you said, unfortunately I haven't been near a warship for a little while - stock images from GoDaddy are free, whereas pinching pictures of our ships with Crown Copyright has other issues! Three years downgraded meant I served on a lengthy and emotive SI, I then completed Staff Course before becoming an ACLO for just over two years. During that time I'm afraid that I learned that not everyone who should pass an AIB is passing an AIB - hence why I've started MilPrep. I know that I'll take criticism from some but I know from my own experience that young people from less advantaged backgrounds do not perform as well at AIB as public school boys do, and some public school boys blow it too! You can see what I'm offering as you like, but there are plenty of companies offering the same service to pass airline and graduate scheme interviews all around the world -many of whom are now very well respected by both the recruiting company and the potential candidates. Kind regards, Alistair

Perhaps you would like to contact the site COs and negotiate a fee for this blatant advertising.
After all in the time that you have been a member of the site you have contributed the square root of Feck All, only asking questions requesting assistance!

Perhaps we should bounce our 'special' officer candidate wannabees straight to this fellow - for a pre-joining Course (at £nn.nn ) before they are even allowed to be let loose on RR?

Slogan?

"Roll up, Roll Up: Bottom-feeders spoon fed here for a cushty ride to BRNC!"

When my daughter was looking at the RAF, I'm sure she was sent a link to download practice papers for the tests which had to be paid for. I was quite surprised. Albeit it wasn't a lot of money.

Was he latterly at RAF Benson 845/846NAS Commando Helicopter Force? Or was that a different Alastair?

PERSEC being what it is I think it's highly unlikely that Ninja would (if he could) confirm or deny your query.

If you have a genuine reason for asking (seeking a role on his team perchance?) there is a photograph and contact details at the OP's website.

There again he might know you but may not wish to reply...
