Singers in the sixties,a great run ashore from the dockyard canteen on a sunday, sembawang village and bugis street.Full of life and and unrestricted, the place had a real buzz.Pints of tiger for 50c,then it was 2/4d to to dollar, the days when LSD was money and not a mind trip, and a very hot curry at the stalls in the village for a dollar.Apart from booze and food tiger balm gardens was a site to behold, and shopping for 'rabbits' in change alley, downtown singapore, was cheap and good funVesper said:What's the best place you've visited courtesy of the RN?
