Post-war submersibles (X-Craft / midget subs, SDVs, scooters...)- 1950s-70s

Looking to talk to anyone who was involved with any of small submersibles during the cold war. Some of the craft tested or used are pretty much lost to history, which I want to ensure doesn't happen.

AML (Admiralty Materials Lab) scooter
Baptism scooter
Cook Brothers' submersible
LR-1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
X-Craft (XE, X-51 class)
SLC (Sleeping Beauty) and Chariots used post-war

Anything else I haven't listed.

Also, any clearance divers here?
Also, if anyone fancies being an amateur historian themselves and happens to live near London, and has some spare time on their hands.... there's a particular archive at Kew that I desperately want to rummage through. But I live overseas so not easy to pop along myself. I cannot promise much in return except the feel-good factor of helping unearth one of the forgotten episodes of Navy/RM history. Would need someone who is savvy on naval topics but above all keen.

Give it time mucker. Things can move pretty slow in these here parts.

There is the odd clearance diver on here, but you must be patient, as they give the majority of their time to mirrors. I'm confident your queries will be answered one way or the other in due course. Good luck.
