    I've heard rumours that this may turn into a normal New Entry course. Is there any truth in this?

    I have heard that with the advent of direct entry there is no longer any need for PONE. Have yet to hear definitively either way.

    Just clarifying- that buzz was true. As Uncle_Albert says, PONECs are getting scrapped with the intro of direct entry. PONEC 2007 will now be a 2 week New Entry course over the last two weeks of July.
